BUISNES AND INDUSTRY IN UKMERGĖ

The priority branches of industries of Ukmerge region are metal and wood processing, building of roads and furniture manufacturing.

The largest companies are concentrated in Ukmergė town.

One of the largest companies is mechanical engineering and metal processing LJSC "Vienybė".

LJSC "Vilkma" sews shirts and blouses. 95 % of its production is exported to Scandinavian countries, France, England.

The largest companies  of furniture industry are LJSC "Aukmergės baldai", LJSC "Baltikmeobel" and LJSC "Baltic American Concord".

The largest companies of building materials and construction are LJSC "Ukmergės gelžbetonis" and LJSC "Baltukmės statyba".

The company "Algbrasa" produces prefab metal modules, girders, columns, metal constructions for bridges and overbridges, highwayguards, etc.

LJSC "Ukmergės keliai" builds roads and does the repair works of bridges and overbridges, tunnels and sport equipment.

LJSC "Izobara" supplies heating energy from own boiler houses and it offer the services of exploitation and technical maintenance of heating, water supply and sewage equipment.

Ukmergė manufactory LJSC "Elga" is the largest producer of electricity distribution equipment and systems of metal constructions in Lithuania and Baltic States.

Joint venture of Lithuania and France "Ukmergės biofabrikas" produces forages and biopreparations.

The trademark of fur sewing company "Roris" proclaims about qualitative, fashionable fur coats and other leather products.
